Meet Simon
The Founder
For the last two decades, I’ve spent much of my time as an entrepreneur and Managing Director of Leven Smash Repair, a smash repair company with workshops in regional New South Wales.
While I love running high-performance teams, building relationships, and challenging myself and my workforce to find innovative and efficient ways to problem solve, I get an enormous amount of my drive and fulfilment from contributing to the growth of regional communities. Training apprentice automotive spray painters and panel beaters and bringing skilled tradespeople to regional towns has not only changed the lives of the workers but changes the regional towns for the better as well.
How we became LSR Connect
In 2017, I found myself in desperate need of skilled tradesmen for our workshops in regional New South Wales. Despite extensive local searches, I couldn't find anyone suitable for the job. It was then that I decided to explore overseas options, and our search ultimately led us to the Philippines.
We've come a long way since our first trip to the Philippines. We have refined our recruitment process and have been successful in attracting highly skilled workers with the positive and hardworking attitude that Australian employers dream of. This approach has been a game changer in addressing the major skill shortage challenges our regional businesses encountered, and it's a strategy they continue to use to this day.
After talking to many owners in the industry who face the same struggles every day, we decided to create a solution. That's when we founded LSR Connect.
